BAISER are  Yukari~Shaisuke~Katsura~Mizuki & Rei   Yukari on vocals, born in Tokyo on January 08, bloodtype A. Yukari is the maincomposer and leader of the Visual Rock band Baiser. It's also his power of not giving up that brought Baiser to where they are today. Yukari started to play piano at the age of 3.  His parents who wished a little girl, teached him various things like piano. Yukari's female side on stage comes also a bit from his education. His parents pushed him to wear girl's skirt when he was child ^^; something he don't like at all. Yukari started to listen to Rock music when he was in elementary school. A friend of him introduced him to Boowy. After this he and his friends mostly came together for singing. When he graduate from highschool he did his first ordinal song with his friend Akane in their band named Baiser, stands for kiss in french. Baiser's discography isn't really clear, but it's supposed that Baiser started in 1991 while their first song Real came out in 1993 on the omnibus album 'Cry Max Pleasure'. Yukari's image was dark, more gothic looking. Baiser who was still an Indies band in that time, had their little fan world, but in 1996 the band split. The bassist, Haiji left the band because of music difference, but Yukari didn't gave up. In 1998 he came back with his band totally changed. The good side is that he haven't changed the bandsname at all. He's ready to continue his dream whatever happens. In 1998 he came back with some members of other bands: Shaisuke (Ex-brunch), Mizuki & Rei (Ex-Airisu) and Katsura (Ex-Shazna). Together these 5 people who put their soul in this band produced the band up again and on May 1999 the band could sign with a major label.   May vicious 1999 article about how Yukari meat the other Baiser members: Question: Shaisuke is the first member of Baiser? Yukari: Yes. Our former member decided to quit the band in Jan'96 because he had a different view of the music. At that moment I thought Shaisuke would be the best bass player. Q: You two know each other? Y: Yes, we've been known each other for 4 or 5 years. I know him since he was in his former band. We did a concert together on New Year's day and at that time Shaisuke wore showy kimono and I liked it! Q: Kimono? Was it a formal men's one? Y: No, he arranged women's "Furisode" and at the party after the concert we talked about music like 'what kind of music do you like??' etc ... Q: Your impression of Shaisuke has been changed since then? Y: No, but I like his showiness, so when he is quiet and simple I feel like it's not really him. Q: Who is the next member of Baiser? Y: Katsura is. I knew him too since he is in his former band. When I and Shaisuke were talking about a session someone introduced him. Q: What is the first impression of him? Y: I thought he was a quiet person. When he was in his former band I had a chance to talk to him in the elevator, but I was thinking about something else at that moment, so when he asked me something I did an indifferent answer and he was angry. Q: So ... his impression has been changed? Y: Yes!! It's changed a lot! He kicked his clothes off at the hotel and suddenly he did his laundry even I was sleeping. I couldn't sleep! Q: hahaha..... (laughs) Y: I was recording in my dream but the sounds of the washmachine was to loud so I couldn't sing. (laughs) Funny dream!!! Q: Who is the next member? Y: Katsura went to see a band which is Mizuki and Rei was in. He didn't say about it so Shaisuke and I didn't know. Katsura said he is here to persuade Mizuki to leave his band and join our band. There were other members of Mizuki's band too and they were surprised! Q: Your impression of Mizuki has changed? Y: Not so much, but I couldn't imagine he is such an untidy person!!! When I met him first he didn't put his stuff back on the place it was normally kept! Q: And last member is Rei. Y: When Mizuki joined us there was a member named Akane (synth. G) but he had to quit because of family problem. So we asked to Mizuki if he knew someone who's a good guitar player, and Mizuki recommended Rei. They went to the same junior high school and started guitar playing together. Q: Tell me your first impression of Rei Y: He was quiet. We went to the sea with other members and we had nothing to do, so we just got a suntan!!! Q: Your impression of Rei has changed? Y: No. Mizuki told me Rei is shy and quiet, but when I asked Rei some questions he wasn't shy !!! Apparently Rei was shy only to Mizuki. I said to Mizuki 'Maybe Rei doesn't like you!!!'
